In winter, many of us miss the sun and the light, warm breeze of spring wind.We miss the ubiquitous green and colorful flowers. Then we visit florists more often in search of wonderful bulbs that appear in February.

Among them, undoubtedly, hyacinths. The cheerful colors of the flowers improve our mood and put a smile on our faces, and the beautiful scent spread around the plants is almost captivating.

In flower shops you can already buy sprinkled onions with clearly visible flower buds. They can be single plants or in colorful compositions. They are usually placed in various decorative containers. When carrying delicate plants home, remember to carefully cover them against frost and wind.

In the apartment, place the pots with hyacinths in a bright place with a temperature of about 20˚C. In such conditions, we will enjoy beautiful flowers for up to two weeks. If the shoots or leaves of the plants tilt to the side, they can be supported with a decorative ladder or a nice twig.

If the bulbs we buy do not have visible buds yet, place them in the dark (eg under a paper hood) and in a cool room (7-9˚C).When the leaves are a few centimeters long, remove the hood and move the plants to a warm (20-25˚C) and bright place.Remember that for flowering plants, the air temperature should not exceed 20˚C.
