It is a medium-sized runner-up grass that grows up to about 40 - 60 centimeters in height. 'Red Baron' is a grass that requires fertile, moist but well-drained soil, rich in potassium, and a sunny position, possibly only slightly shaded.

Chinese miscanthus 'Variegatus'- ornamental, strongly growing grass, creating large, dense and overhanging clumps, up to 2 meters high. It is distinguished among miscanthus by the white and yellow rim of the leaf.It blooms relatively rarely in Polish conditions, so it is worth treating it as an ornamental variety due to its interesting foliage. This miscanthus grows best in fertile and moist soils, in sunny or slightly shaded positions. Like all miscanthus, it is a fast-growing species, yet it is not an invasive grass that grows out of control.
Chinese Miscanthus 'Memory'- fast growing ornamental grass, forming straight clumps, narrower at the bottom, wide at the top, crowned with large, silky inflorescences in autumn. It grows up to 2.5 meters high, about 1.5 meters wide, the leaves are long, quite wide, especially compared to other varieties, regularly tapering, green with a white main vein running through the center.
