Fertilizing rhododendrons - I do the fertilizers myself

Table of contents

In order for rhododendrons to be he althy and covered with flowers, they need to be fertilized regularly and acidified with peat. However, not everyone can afford expensive fertilizers, so I use citric acid for this purpose. I give 1 teaspoon for approx. 10 l of water and water rhododendrons with this solution once every 2 weeks.

  • The ants are so "smart" that s alt does not work on them, but cooking soda is effective in deterring them. Just sprinkle it on the ant paths.
  • I sprinkle s alt and baking powder on the snails around the beds. They accumulate in the place where the nutrient medium is located. Then I take them outside the garden.
  • My datura (Datura) has very impressive flowers. I think it's thanks to… lettuce. Well, when I dig up a plant in the fall and put it in a pot, I line the bottom of the container with lettuce leaves. They are located under the datura root. Only then do I cover them with earth. In the spring, when I plant Datura into the ground, it already has shoots. Lettuce provides him with iron and other minerals needed for growth.
