I want to introduce you to one of the most beautiful plants - jasmine. In my flowerbeds I have three varieties of these shrubs.
First one -Sweet jasmine 'Aureus'has stiff, upright stems, golden yellow leaves and white flowers. When it blooms, it is hardly visible against the background of bright, often sunlit leaves. However, it is enough to walk near the bush to feel its captivating scent. This plant does not require special care and - what is important to me - it is frost-resistant. In the last season, I noticed that a few twigs had withered. Probably the reason was too much moisture. In my case, this shrub grows in a small valley, from where excess water does not drain freely.Last year was extremely rainy. I cut down the dried shoots, and in the fall, together with my husband, we drained the area. I hope it helps and this season the plant will grow great again.
I don't remember the name of the second variety, but it is also fragrant jasmine. I often meet him in other gardens. The shrub grows quickly and when it blooms white it also smells beautiful.
The third specimen is the pride of my garden -Full jasmine 'Manteau d'Hermine'Its flowers are large, white, intensely fragrant and… heavy. During flowering, the thin twigs bend almost to the ground. I tether this variety using supports so that the strong wind does not destroy the delicate plant.
All jasmine trees are often attacked by aphids. I usually notice the feeding of these insects by the twisted young leaves. Then I spray with generally available preparations so that the pests do not weaken the entire bush.
