Spring Rock Fiveis a group of 5 popular spring-flowering perennials that are perfect for rockeries, mountain climbing plants and walls. Spring Rock Five plants grow rapidly, creating dense, fluffy leaf pillows and cascades of flowers. Thanks to this, they can be not only a decoration of rock gardens but also balconies and terraces. Meetspring rock fiveand learn how to care for it!
Spring rock five
The spring rock five is made up of the following plants : rock dragonfly, evergreen garment, phlox phlox, Caucasian geese and garden snake.
Teplants included in the spring fivehave similar requirements in terms of growing conditions and care treatments, so they feel great in each other's company. Growing quickly, they cover empty spaces under taller plants, cover walls, fill places in flower beds and look good in pots. In a word - they are worth recommending!
The Caucasian geese(Arabis alpina, syn. A. caucasica) belongs to the Brassicaceae family. This popular perennial is characterized by overhanging shoots and small, densely overgrowing flowers. The goose branch quickly branches and forms dense cushions, covered with gray-green, egg-shaped, serrated leaves. The entire plant is slightly hairy.

The Caucasian geese blooms from March to Juneand again in September. The delicate flowers are most often white or cream, less often pink. They appear in such numbers that they obscure the leaves.
The Caucasian geese is extremely durable and has low cultivation and care requirements. It prefers warm and sunny positions and light, moderately moist, alkaline and well-drained soils. It does not require fertilization. It is frost-resistant, but in regions with harsher winters, it is worth covering the plants with agrotextile or tunisz.
The garden cranberry(Aubrieta cultorum) is a low, turfing plant decorated with delicate pink, purple, white or purple flowers that appear in spring and almost completely obscure the leaves. The garden cranberry grows quickly and the rather short, dangling shoots form dense female egg-shaped hairy leaves.

Like the otherperennials from the Spring Rock Five , the Żagwin is easy to grow and undemanding. It is enough to provide it with a dry, sunny, rocky position with well-drained, moderately moist and alkaline soil. It does not require any special care treatments. After flowering for the first time, it is a good idea to trim the plant just below the flower shoots, feed it and water it, then it will bloom again in the fall.
Rocky bean(Aurinia saxatilis), belonging to the Brassicaceae family, is one of the most valuable perennials found in our gardens. Therefore, the smagliczka could not be missing in the spring rock five!
The raised shoots of the rock dragonfly grow up to 30 cm and slightly overlap. They are overgrown with spatulate leaves forming dense rosettes. Delicate, tiny, intensely yellow flowers of the dragonfly are gathered in loose panicles. The rock beacon blooms in April and May. With proper care and favorable weather conditions, the plant blooms again in early autumn.

Smagliczka is a plant of the mountain climateand likes sunny positions and moist ground, but it will also withstand periods of drought. It is frost-resistant (the plant is assigned to the plant frost-resistance zone 6) and has low cultivation and maintenance requirements.
Evergreen garment(Iberis sempervirens) is a small shrub reaching 10 - 40 cm in height. This evergreen plant grows very quickly, creating pillows of tiny, leathery leaves. It is perfect for turfing even large areas. White flowers, forming clusters, appear in March and again in autumn. So it is anotherplant from the spring five that may please us again in the fall with flowers

Phlox subulata(Phlox subulata), also called the flame, comes from North America andis the only one of the five rockis completely frost-resistant . This evergreen, short, creeping plant forms carpets of needle-shaped leaves that are covered with white, fragrant flowers in May. Long, creeping shoots of phlox actually root themselves, which is why the plant is ideal for turfing and strengthening the soil on small slopes.
