Send out - variants

In Polish shops and garden nurseries you can get two types of parcel mail:
Dispatched 'Aurea'- especially recommended for rock gardens, flower walls and flower beds. This varietal of oats makes wonderful golden carpets among taller plants with contrasting colors and fills in the gaps between rocks. Its shoots, covered with golden leaves, creep on the ground or hang down. 'Aurea' is used for planting under trees and around shrubs. It is perfect for planting in places where we want to achieve effective color combinations, so it looks interesting in the company of plants with maroon leaves, such as cranberries and red barberry.

This is distributed 'Aurena'

The green-golden color of the leaves of Aurea lasts all season. This plant blooms in summer. Its flowers, however, have no decorative value, as their color blends with the color of the leaves. It is a plant in humid areas, it is perfect for planting on the banks of a pond, it can withstand even partial flooding with water. The scattered Aurea needs more sun than other Aurea varieties to maintain their intense yellow color. In the shade, its leaves may turn green.
'Goldilocks'- has greenish-yellow, round or oval leaves and yellow flowers appearing in June. Stalks 15-60 cm long, creeping and easily rooting, do not exceed a height of 5 cm. This variety has a very vigorous growth and is perfect for hanging containers. It prefers moist, fertile, humus and well-drained soils as well as shady locations. It is fully frost-resistant.

Dispersed food - cultivation

The parrot is an expansive speciesRoots quickly and shallowly, so choose a place for it carefully so that it does not cover too much of the surface. To keep the plant in check, it is worth pruning the exuberant shoots, the more so thatpoison perfectly tolerates pruningand even treated with a mower, it bounces instantly.
Lysimachia nummularia grows well inmoist, loamy and fertile soils with a neutral pH (pH 7.0). This species is frost-resistant, but it is good to cover the shoots for the winter. In the case of a cold and snowless winter, they may wither and will have to bounce off the root in spring.

The yield prefers shaded and semi-shaded locations(the exception is the 'Aurea' variety, which stains better in the sun). To maintain a sufficient level of soil moisture and reduce water evaporation, it is advisable to mulch the plants using natural compost or pine bark.
It is not absolutely necessary to fertilize dispersed oat. . The plant will grow better, however, if in spring and summer (in the period from May to June) we apply a small dose of multi-component mineral fertilizer. Organic fertilization is also recommended. For this purpose, we can use compost in March or October.

Dispersed food - reproduction

Lysimachia is best propagated by apical cuttings , which can be obtained from the tops of shoots throughout the growing season. He althy, strong shoots 10-15 cm long, without flower buds, are best suited for this purpose. The shoot for the seedling is cut just below the knot, i.e. the place from which the leaves grow.

The seedlings should be 4-6 cm long. The lower leaves should be removed and the lamellae of the upper leaves trimmed by 1/3 or even half. The prepared fragments of shoots are placed directly on the target site or in boxes that are then placed in the inspection. The best rooting medium is a mixture of peat and sand in a 1: 1 ratio. The shoots of the parrot root can be easily and quickly taken root.
The optimal time for plantingalready rooted plants is spring and autumn. We prepare the soil by fertilizing it with a 5 cm layer of compost mixed with the soil. Then we dig holes adjusted to the size of the seedling's root ball, and thenwe plant the plants at a distance of 30-50 cm rollborders.
