Canadian Judaszowiec (Cercis canadensis) 'Traveler' - it'sa small tree, perfect for a small garden It has a compact habit and grows up to 1.5 m in height. This dwarf variety of Judas is therefore much smaller than pure trees. The dangling shoots are covered with large, heart-shaped leaves. The leaves are initially copper-colored but turn dark green over time.
The uniqueness of Judasites is kaulifloria, i.e. the appearance of flowers directly on the trunk and shoots. In spring, the still leafless tree is covered with clusters of intensely pink flowers, making it an amazing sight. In autumn, however, the fruit of the Judas tree becomes its fruit - flat, browning pods that remain on the shoots for a long time.

The beauty of the Judas tree is best displayedin a warm and quiet place sheltered from the wind. The plant prefers well-drained, moist and fairly fertile soil. Adult trees can withstand low temperatures (plant frost resistance zone 6B), but young specimens should be protected for the winter.Gentle pruning of the shoots will allow you to maintain a nice habit and obtain an umbrella tree crown.
Japanese ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) 'Mariken' - it'sextremely attractive, dwarf ginkgo varietygrafted on a trunk. It grows slowly. After 10 years, it reaches a height of about 1-1.5 m. The diameter of the spherical crown grows up to 1 m. The unusual fan-like leaves are the greatest ornament of the ginkgo tree. Leathery, two-leaf leaves, light green in spring and summer, change color to a very intense, warm shade of yellow in autumn. They contrast wonderfully with other species, especially the dark green ones.

In addition to its unusual appearance, ginkgo is also easy to grow, whichpredisposes it to be planted as a solitaireIt is highly resistant to diseases and pests as well as dry and polluted air.It is enough to provide it with a sunny or semi-shaded position and fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic and moist soil. It tolerates our winters well (frost resistance zone 5), although young specimens should be protected from the cold in autumn. To keep the nice, spherical shape of the crown, the tree should be regularly trimmed after the leaves have fallen.
Albicja (Albizia julibrissin) f. Rosea - is also called the silk tree. It is characterized by unusual inflorescences and decorative leaves. Although in nature it grows up to 6 m in height, in our climate it reaches a maximum of 2 m andcan act as a solitaire for a small gardenThe crown of Albania is wide, it has the shape of an umbrella.Related to mimosa shameful albitsia at night it curls large, delicate, feathery leaves. Its flowers resemble pompoms. They consist of a huge number of thin silky threads, white at the base, then becoming intense pink.Albice blooms from July to August. The sapling begins to bloom from the 3rd year of cultivation. On warm evenings, we can see that the flowers shine gently! After flowering, long, flat pods become the pride of Albania.

Albicja prefers sunny, sheltered positions and humus, well-drained, moist soil. Requires frequent, but not too abundant watering. The rosea form is frost-resistant enough (frost resistance zone 5) to grow it all over Poland andgrow this tree as a solitaire
Early cherry (Prunus incisa) 'Kojou-no-mai' - is a slowly growing, small tree, up to 2-3 m tall. The crown is compact and thickens by itself. The shoots also decorate the leafless stage - they please the eye with wavy, bent shapes. In spring they are covered with small, egg-shaped leaves and white, bell-shaped flowers with a dark pink center.

Cherry blossoms at the turn of April and May. The green leaves in autumn turn gold, orange and red. This variety does not bear fruit and thus does not pollute the area under the tree. Thanks to this, it works as asolitaire on the lawnor next to a path made of cobblestones. Although it does not require pruning, it tolerates it well and is suitable for shaping.Early cherry requires a position of full sun, with moist, fertile and well-drained soil. During longer dry periods, the tree requires watering. The cherry variety 'Kojou-no-mai' is hardy, copes with polluted air and frost (frost resistance zone 6B).
Mayer miniature lilac (Syringa meyeri) 'Palibin' - is a dwarf version of the common lilac, commonly found in Poland, also called lilac.A small tree with a spherical crown , grafted on a trunk, reaches a maximum height of 1.5 m. The crown grows from 0.5 to 1.5 m in diameter. Delicate shoots are covered with small, light green, heart-shaped leaves. Abundant, dense, fragrant panicles of tiny purple-purple flowers are stunning with their scent. They appear in May and June and again in late summer.

It is abeautiful solitaire plant , undemanding and resistant to low temperatures (frost resistance zone 5B) as well as diseases and pests. It grows well in full sun and light shade. There are no high soil requirements - moderately rich, moist and permeable substrates are sufficient. After flowering is finished, cut the shoots quite hard to keep the shape and to lighten the crown a bit.
Umbrella fargesia (Fargesia murielae) - also known as umbrella bamboo, is a partially evergreen perennial that prefers moist, shady locations. Unlike other garden bamboos, it is not very invasive, but it is worth using root barriers in cultivation. It grows up to 1-1.5 m in height, creating dense clumps. Thin, overhanging shoots are covered with long, pointed, lanceolate leaves with a vivid green color. They create green, decorative cascades.

Fargezja perfectly tolerates pruning - it is enough to use sharp scissors to shorten the shoots to the desired height. Requires quite rich, moist and well-drained soil. It is hardy enough (frost resistance zone 6) to endure Polish winters.
Pampas grass (Cortaderia selloana) 'Rosea Pink' - this is themost decorative grass that grows perfectly as a solitaireAbundant clumps of leaves grow up to 80 cm tall, and during flowering grass reaches 1.5 m in height. The unusual decoration of this variety is thick, pink, feathery panicles. They can be up to 50 cm long. They emerge from a cascade of thin dark green leaves. They appear in the fall in September and last until late autumn. The plant blooms in the 2-3rd year of cultivation.

Pampas grass grows well in sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. This original perennial is frost-resistant enough (frost resistance zone 7) to endure winters all over Poland after sheltering. With the onset of cold weather, we mulch the plants and protect them against moisture, tying them in mulch and covering, for example, withnonwoven agrotextile.
