Miłki are charming herbaceous plants. In spring,Amur loveandspring loveblooms in the gardens a bit latersummer loveThese species are gaining more and more more sympathizers because they are easy to grow and can charm with their yellow-golden flowers. See what growing conditions are required for lovebirds and how to propagate these plants and increase their collection in the garden bed.
Miłek Amurski is the first to bloom
" As soon as snowdrops appear in the garden, other unusual flowers bloom, which have recently gained more and more sympathizers.I mean love - the gold of spring is true, as they are sometimes referred to. They are mostly small, hardy plants with delicate cut leaves and beautiful golden and yellow flowers that bloom just after spring. "
All species of lovers can successfully grow in our gardens without causing any problems in cultivation. Regardless of the species, these plants look best when planted several pieces next to each other, thanks to which you can get a golden stain surrounded by ruffles of delicate leaves.
The first to bloomAmur love(Adonis amurensis). It is a viable plant native to the Far East, which gave rise to several garden varieties with interesting, full flowers in golden color with some green admixtures.
Flowers of this species develop in my garden at the turn of February and March, giving a beautiful show lasting several weeks. The plant has very fragile roots, so when planting and dividing, be careful not to break them. If we damage the roots, it will negatively affect the growth of the plant and in some cases may even lead to its death. Miłek Amurski will be grateful for a slightly shaded place with a permeable, humus substrate with a slightly acidic reaction. In my garden, the plant is shaded by a large stone next to which it grows, and in the season, additionally by tall perennials - asters and gauras. It is also important to mark the place where it grows, because in July the plant loses its leaves and goes into dormancy until the next spring. However, already in autumn, it develops flower buds that can be damaged during care, which will have an impact on spring flowering.
A little later we can admire the flowers of the spring love
Another species that can be successfully grown in gardens isspring love(Adonis vernalis). This plant occurs in Poland in its natural state, but it is under strict protection ( although a few dozen years ago it grew in the fields and balks like a weed). Currently, many nurseries have taken care of its propagation and it is no longer a problem to obtain he althy and strong plants legally by buying them from the producer. Spring Miłek blooms in March and April with canary-yellow flowers, and its characteristic dill-shaped leaves that last until the first frost are an additional decoration. The plant prefers light, even stony, alkaline soils and full sun. "
If someone would like to grow flowers with flowers other than yellow, I suggest looking around gardening stores for summer love seeds.Summer loveis a one-year-old species with small, but luscious red flowers and delicate, jagged leaves, as is the case with spring love.Plants of this species reach about 60 cm in height and do well in average soil provided it is fertile enough. They can be used to create a flower meadow or as a supplement to planting in a perennial bed.
One-year-old lovebird species, such assummer love , are only multiplied by sowing seeds.Miłek amurskiandspring lovecan be reproduced by dividing the matured carp at the turn of August and September. We do it very gently so as not to damage the very brittle roots. With a sharp knife, we divide the plant into cuttings with 1-2 buds and necessarily undamaged roots. It is good to cover the cutting wounds with charcoal dust to prevent rotting of the plant.Perennial species can also be multiplied by sowing seeds in autumn. We collect them when they start to fall off and sow them immediately on the seedbed or permanent place without drying it (then they sprout best). The seedlings will appear in the next spring and grow rather slowly. Plants obtained from sowing do not flower until the earliest in the third year of cultivation.
I have been growing love flowers in my garden for 4 years and every year I am waiting impatiently for their beautiful flowers to develop to welcome the spring: -)
