When to spray an apple tree?

Spraying is carried out in terms depending on the phase of development of the tree , that is, the phenological period. Phenological periods, depending on the course of the weather and apple variety, may occur at different times each year. Thereforethe exact date of spraying is determined on the basis of the observation of the growth rate of trees

Remember that apple spraying should be supported with other care treatments, such as fertilization and pruning, which also affect the condition and he alth of the tree as well as the quality and abundance of the crop.
What to spray an apple tree with?
For apple spraying, you can usechemical plant protection products, ready-made preparations based on natural ingredients, as well as plant extracts and decoctions that we prepare ourselves.
The most common diseases that affect apple trees are apple scab, fire blight and mildew. We will protect apple trees against these diseases by using the following preparations: Miedzian 50 WP, Miedzian Extra 350 SC, Magnicur Gold, Polyram 70 WG and Siarkol 800 SC.Spraying extractsfrom yarrow and horsetail are an ecological alternative. You can also reach for ready-made preparations: Lecitec based on natural lecithin and Evasiol (preparation based on field horsetail).
Also very important isautumn spraying of apple trees with 5% urea solutionto prevent scab development. We make it after the first frost, but just before all the leaves fall.
Preventive sprayingagainst apple pests, such as: apple blossom, cottonberry or apple fruit, it is worth doing already at the stage of bud swelling (February-March) using oil preparations (Promanal 60 EC, Emulpar 940 EC) destructive winter stages of pests.
In early spring, green caterpillars with dark heads can be seen on young leaves, flower buds and flowers. These arecaterpillars of the leaf rollers , which later contribute to the rolling of the leaves into a tube shape. These caterpillars produce yarns that stick the leaves together to form loose rosettes, and scrape the crumb from the leaves, creating the characteristic clearances. After noticing the caterpillars of leaf rollers on the apple tree, we spray it with the biological preparation Lepinox Plus. It is an ecological agent, safe for the environment and harmless to beneficial insects. Ideal forfighting caterpillars on apple leavesin garden crops.
Among the chemical plant protection chemicalsin the fight against pests of apple treesthe most effective is Mospilan 20 SP (it has a contact and systemic effect, which means that it penetrates the plant sap and with them reaches pests located in various recesses of the tree, even if we were not able to spray these places directly).
