No more power
We do not feed perennial plants that we intend to store over the winter, such as pelargonium, fuchsia, datura, clover, Rantonett's lycanthus (blue nightshade), so that they can enter the dormant period more easily. However, we still water them regularly, although due to colder days, much less often than before.
Fungi diseases are always dangerous!
We protect plants against fungal diseases, because cool mornings and evenings favor their development. This applies to gray mold and mildew. After the first symptoms of infection appear, the plants should be sprayed with an appropriate chemical as soon as possible (they are available in small packages) according to the instructions on the leaflet.
Pruning shoots
We prune the shoots of plants that will winter indoors. This applies to, for example, pelargonium, fuchsia, nightshade, tibuchin, silvering, datura (brugmansji), lead and others. We do this at the end of the month.
Power supply for annuals
Until the end of September, we water and supplement all annual plants with multi-component fertilizers, e.g. continuously flowering begonia, petunias, sage, marigolds …
