I remember from my childhood how my grandma poured curdled milk into a bag made of a tetras diaper. Then she tied it and placed it on a strange table. It had a wooden cover and a groove in the center. After covering the sack with milk, the grandfather would put a pot of water on it and put a bucket under the table. All night I heard something dripping. Grandpa used to say that whey was the best for a hangover, although I didn't know then what that hangover was. In the morning, my grandmother took a piece of delicious white cheese out of the sack.
How to make a tray
A bit of sentiment (Grandma is dead and Grandpa doesn't have a hangover anymore), and a bit out of curiosity, I decided to make a replica of that device. I used ash planks for the construction. The bag was sewn from a cloth diaper.
How to make cheese
We put milk "from the cow" in the pot on Saturday morning. On Monday, you can collect delicious cream, and on Wednesday, the wife gently warms the sour milk (about half an hour). Then we pour them into a bag and cover it with a board. We put a pot of water on it. The cheese is ready in the morning.
