We plant magnolias
June is a good month to plant magnolias in our gardens. The best plants are produced in containers, then they can be planted from April to the end of summer - not later, because the plants should take root well before the onset of frost. The bushes are planted as deep as they grew in the container, the roots are covered with loose soil. Before planting, the root system does not loosen and it should not be pressed too much after planting, because damage to the roots leads to their rotting and plant death. After planting, the plant should be watered, and watering should be continued until the end of July.
NEXT PLANT.
We can continue planting trees, shrubs, vines and shrubs that were grown in pots in nurseries.
IMPORTANT WATER.
Let's not forget that it is very important to water plants during drought, especially hydrangeas, which will start flowering.
NEEDED TREATMENTS.
We form the boxwood into balls, low hedges or borders. Remove - if possible - fading flowers from the bushes.
SYSTEMATIC CARE .
Remember to systematically nurture (e.g. water and fertilize) trees and shrubs in pots and containers.
VALUABLE FERTILIZATION OF TREES AND BUSHES.
At the beginning of June, we fertilize trees and shrubs with the second dose of compound fertilizers at a dose of 2 kg per 100 m2. It is also worth taking care of weeding and supplementing the bark in the beds.
SAD
CLEAN STRAWBERRIES.
If we have not done it before, we cover the straw mulch under the strawberry bushes. Thanks to this, the emerging fruit will be less susceptible to gray mold and we will protect them from soil contamination.
WE CARE ABOUT THE SOIL.
If the soil in our garden often dries up, it is worth spreading a layer of pine bark or sawdust around young trees and shrubs. All organic bedding helps to keep the substrate moist, especially if we do not water the plants often enough.
WE TRANSFER FRUIT.
Proper fruit will only grow when it grows singly. This is a particularly important treatment for apple and peach trees. We should remove the buds by hand or with small secateurs, leaving a distance of at least several centimeters between the fruits.
