Tip: we plant a seedling of leeks

Table of contents

Leek seedlings are planted in rows every 7-10 centimeters, leaving 30-40 centimeters apart between the rows. Then we can cultivate it with parsley. The plants will have a beneficial effect on each other, and we will have a constant portion of greens on a small area.

If you want to grow leeks only, plant them in rows 25-30 centimeters apart. If they are intended for wintering, then the distance between the rows should be 30-40 centimeters, and 15 centimeters in the row.

Younger 8-10-week-old plants can be planted in spring, and in late June and early July, a 12-week-old or older seedling will be better suited. Ideally, it should be 6-7 millimeters in diameter.

The seedlings should be planted so deep that the tip of growth is just above the soil surface. Most often it is about 15 centimeters deep.If you plan to sprinkle the pores with soil, which will result in obtaining a longer bleached part, they should be planted in rows further apart for your own convenience.
