P:I have a beautiful vein and I would like to breed it, but I don't know how. I tried to reproduce it in the same way as forsythia or vigella breed, but to no avail.
O:Varicose veins (strongly growing species) can be propagated by dividing the bush or from woody cuttings, which are obtained from strong but not too thick long shoots that can be cut into cuttings. Shoot internodes should be short.Cut the long shoots only after the leaves have fallen (from November to January).Cut them into sections of 18 centimeters, at the lower end cut perpendicular to the shoot and just below the bud, and trim the upper end just above bud slightly oblique.
Then the lower end is immersed in the rooting stimulator and additionally in the fungicide in the form of a powder (Kaptan). Tie the seedlings in bunches and place them in an inverted position, so that they dry out (24 hours).
The shoots must not be allowed to suffer from moisture or drying out. In early spring, when it is ready to start cultivation, in the place intended for planting seedlings, only shake the soil as deep as it is necessary to plant them.
Press the cuttings deep into the ground so that only the topmost bud or a pair of buds protrude above the soil surface, and strongly knead on both sides. It is also advisable to mulch the seedlings, you can also plant them through black nonwoven agrotextile (this limits the growth of weeds and the drying of the soil surface). In late autumn, we dig up already rooted cuttings and plant them on their target sites.
