We consider the new season open!

Regardless of how long the fun of winter will last, each day brings us closer to our dream spring. We are happy with new leaves and even tiny flower buds …We spend more and more time in the garden not only to admire the charms of nature awakening to life, but also to prepare new plant arrangements.

Older perennials and ornamental shrubs develop faster and faster with increasing air and ground temperatures. The earliest species will soon open their first flowers. This is a great incentive for new plantings. The choice of plants in gardening and garden centers is very large.

Before shopping, it is worth preparing a list of the species and varieties you need. This list should include plants with a specific shape and color of flowers, as these are the features that determine the appearance and charm of the entire flowerbed. For example, shades of pink combined with bright yellow tones create a romantic aura.

The strongest effects are primarily provided by the full flowers that develop in full bloom. Sunny orange tones radiate warmth, while the dark tones of red and purple add a bit of mystery to the garden.

Spring, or the time of early perennials

Discount arrangements are also subject to fashions and trends.Until recently, the style of a charming country garden was considered almost universally applicable.Classic perennials reigned in it, incl. peonies, foxgloves, flames and geraniums, aided by English bush roses or spherical box trees.

Now, discounts with a natural charm are becoming more and more popular. It is helped by sun-loving perennials such as yarrow, slug, mossy sage and purple coneflower. They are accompanied by ornamental grasses, such as Stipa or broadleaf grass. If shrubs are additionally needed, a good choice will be, for example, a budleja with overhanging shoots or a short cinquefoil.

In addition to carefully selected different varieties, the appearance of a flower bed is significantly influenced by the distribution of separate species and groups of plants, e.g. perennials, ornamental grasses and shrubs.Plants of the same species look best when planted in clumps of different sizes. An interesting effect can be obtained by using some species to create basic nodes or the skeleton of the entire arrangement.

A discount with recently planted plants does not look perfect. Between young, undeveloped plants there are large voids with a dark surface of bare earth. A good solution is to cover the ground with a layer of mulch.Depending on the type of material used, the bedding will be an additional decoration of the rebate.

In addition, the litter hinders the growth of weeds. In the years to come, perennials will cover the ground and weeds will not be needed.
