My son Radek has been successfully training karate for almost five years. Since he was a child, he was interested in Far Eastern martial arts. He is stubborn, ambitious and exercises in the garden no matter what the season.
Seeing our son's great commitment, my wife and I decided to surprise him and arrange aJapanese-style green cornerWe wanted the trainings to take place in the right scenery, and the boy could feel like this like his favorite heroes. Radek was delighted with this!
We decorated the garden with clay and glass bells that play beautifully in the wind and are a symbol of the Orient. They can be hung on a string tied around a tree. We should also choose the right vegetation. My choice fell on bamboos, which I have always liked. In a gardening store, I found out thatevergreen frost-resistant species are availableI immediately bought seedlings. Bamboos like warmth and sun, so I have prepared a place for them that is neither shaded nor exposed to strong gusts of wind. I put my plants into soil mixed with manure and watered them.
When growing bamboos , make sure the soil is always moist, but not too wet. Watering them regularly with a small amount of water works best. That's why I got myself a special green watering can, which is always full and ready to use. When I'm in the garden, I check the soil moisture under my bamboos and water them when needed. And if the summer is very hot, I spray the plants in the early morning or late evening. They reciprocate, growing quickly and pleasing the eyes with their beautiful, oblong leaves.
Bamboos tolerate pruning very well . However, if you want to have thickets in a short time, it is better not to trim them.
In the spring, we can get our own seedlings from adult plants. It is enough to cut a piece with young shoots. We plant such a graft in a pot and look after it at home for a year.Bamboo grovenot only makes my son happy. More than one friend has already received a nice pot with a seedling of this plant as a gift and, of course, tips on how to care for it. And this is how the next bamboo mini-kennels were created.
I am very proud of this oriental corner. In autumn and winter, when the days are short, gray and sad, the sight of a composition of bamboo and conifers immediately makes everyone feel better.
