Trimmers and scythes for hard-to-reach areas

Trimmers, scythes and scissors are indispensable in places where maneuvering the mower is difficult or even impossible. The trimmer performs a similar job to a mower, except that the cutting element is mounted on a long arm.The line spins at high speed, easily cutting grass, but also soft-stemmed weeds. However, when it hits stone, metal or hard wood, it rubs and breaks.

Trimmers are available with electric and combustion engines. An electric (battery) trimmer is sufficient for occasional trimming of small areas of grass. However, when you need to mow the meadow and the terrain is bumpy, it is better to choose a brush cutter or a brush cutter equipped with a metal cutting blade.Often one device has interchangeable heads and can act as both a trimmer and a scythe.Working with a trimmer and a scythe is very efficient, but requires some practice, strength and physical condition.

Quiet and comfortable hovercraft mower

Electric mowers are cheaper than petrol mowers, they are also much quieter, lighter and more environmentally friendly. Their biggest disadvantage (not counting the battery packs) is tethered operation. Always make sure that the electric cord is located behind the mower. If we use extension cords, only certified, adapted to work in garden conditions.

Electric mowers constitute a very diverse family of mowers. An unusual representative of it is a hovercraft mower. It has no wheels, because the movement of the rotating blades creates such a strong gust that the mower hovers gently above the ground and is therefore easy to control (the device seems to slide on the grass). These types of mowers work especially well in small gardens, where the terrain is level and the grass is cut regularly.

Future - robotic mowers

Robotic mowers are a new group of grass care devices. The operation of such devices is practically maintenance-free.Mowers are environmentally friendly, noiseless, mow the grass at the programmed time and in the indicated area. How does this happen? The robot mower moves inside an area limited by a wire, the so-called induction loop, placed shallowly below the ground or hidden among bedding plants. This wire can be easily moved if we want to change the place or shape of the lawn.

After finishing work and before the battery runs out, the robot automatically returns to the docking station, where it rests and recharges the batteries. The operating time of the device depends on the model and can be up to 2 hours.Modern mowers can be remotely controlled via a smartphone.

Stripes and stripes underneath the spindle mower

Striped lawns are obtained by using a special spindle mower with a cylinder (s) instead of wheels. The device crushes the grass in the direction of mowing, creating characteristic stripes. This illusion arises when the leaves of the grass are tilted in opposite directions (corresponding to the mowing directions).

If they are facing away from the observer, they appear brighter (because they reflect the sun's rays). When they are tilted towards the observer, they appear darker, because they show spaces with shadows. The rolling mower is only used on dry lawns. And one more thing: the more blades on the spindle, the smoother the cut.

Riders for demanding customers

Mowing grass with a lawn mower is a combination of business and pleasure.Obviously, this kind of heavy equipment is used almost exclusively on large surfaces of at least 1000 m². Riders, as these mowers are commonly called, are recommended for mowing gardens, orchards, parks, playing fields and meadows. The machines allow you to reach places that are difficult to access, e.g. under bushes and near fences or walls.

In winter, after installing the plow, the devices can be used for clearing snow from pavements, and in autumn for sweeping.Riders are equipped with powerful 4-stroke engines, guaranteeing reliable, long-term operation.
